Internet marketers are led to believe that their email list has all the money. In reality many email filtering systems out there could be filtering out some very important information. Between 56% and 89% of emails have had their contents filtered through major ISPs. Hotmail, Yahoo, EarthLink, and AOL, are the top ISPs out there.
With huge opt in lists in order to avoid having your email filtered, be careful about the words used in your email, that might trigger email filters. Another reason for disappearing emails is spam. Spam attaches to email, and then the filters get rid of it. Many programs from the top Isps regard mail from them to be spam. If you are not on the person's safe list, your email could be taken away without the person ever knowing that it was there. Keeping all anti virus software up to date is a great way to make sure that your email will arrive where and when it is supposed to.
There are two ways to keep your emails from being filtered to death: If someone is about to send you an email, make sure that they add you to their white list, or the place that they store their contacts, like an address book. This will inhibit any spam or viruses from attaching to your email and it being filtered. Ask the person who is sending the email to be sure that your email is not inside their junk mail folder. The next way is to be sure that you always use antispyware and anti virus programs, and keep them updated with the latest definitions.
It also helps if the other person is aware that you will be sending them an email. They will be able to receive your message with it going into their junk folder, or being eaten away by filters. No matter what the subject, if your email is snagged in a filter, none or only some of it will reach its destination.
Following these simple steps will help to keep email filters away from the important messages that you send and receive. Email filtering is a real problem for many people, but with the proper information, you will be able to stop filtering from stealing your email.
Email is one of the main ways most people communicate these days. When you have to worry whether or not your message is going to get where you want it to, it cuts down on productivity. This is unnecessary, and a burden that you should not have to bear. When you follow a few simple rules, you will no longer have to battle the email filters and spam all the time. You will have more time to concentrate on what is important. You can simply send your email to whom you need to, and receive those all-important emails and documents. You will not have to waste time thinking about where your email is really going, or how much of it will get where it needs to go.
